Halloween Again At London Office Flowers

Halloween has probably been on the British calendar for hundreds or even thousands of years and this month is comes around again. This gives us a great opportunity to use Autumn colours in our London office flower arrangements, along with some pumpkin and squash inspired ideas.

Halloween has been a sacred day for Celts who celebrated Samhain as the festival marking the end of the summer. Halloween was not connected with the dead or with the supernatural until recent years. As the US celebrates Halloween as a holiday, it has taken on major significance in the social calendar, with children as well as many adults dressing up for tick-or-treat.

In the UK in the last ten years, you would have to have been living under a stone not to notice how this has spread to our shores. The supermarkets have been stocking trick-or-treat sweets for weeks already as well as carving pumpkins (didn’t we used to feed those to cattle?)
If you don’t fancy a pumpkin theme, there are some great berry colours available this month. We combine chillies, tomatoes and ornamental berries for an impressive and intense display. These will be going out to our London Office Flower customers next week.
Other London Office Flower suggestions this month include dahlias, chrisanths and anthuriums.
